Walton-le-Dale sits on the south bank of the Ribble where the Darwen joins it, with St Leonard's on high ground to the east and flat land at the river junction below. That flat ground is the Capitol Centre now, built over the old Flats Mills. At the other end of the village, Walton Green has been a conservation area since 1976, and its buildings run from the seventeenth century through to the nineteenth.

Age and water both matter here. In cottages and terraces of that vintage a rewire is as much about earthing and bonding as cable, and in a conservation area the routes have to be planned around what cannot be chased. On the low ground, where the Environment Agency is building and raising flood defences along both rivers through to 2028, socket heights and consumer unit positions are worth settling while the wiring is open rather than afterwards.

Higher up, the twentieth-century semis and the Walton Park estates need fuse board upgrades, kitchen and bathroom circuits and EV charge points. For the retail and leisure units at the Capitol Centre we cover emergency lighting, fixed wire testing and planned maintenance.
