By 1929 Bolton had 216 cotton mills and 26 bleaching and dyeing works, and the housing built for the people who worked in them still shapes the town. Terraced streets run through Halliwell, Daubhill and the older parts of Great Lever, much of it late-Victorian red brick. The wiring in those houses is rarely original, but installations untouched since the 1950s or 60s still turn up rubber-sheathed cable, a rewireable fuse board and no main bonding at the incoming gas and water. We take on full and partial rewires, consumer unit upgrades, bonding and EICRs, including landlord reports on terraced rental property.

Commercially, Middlebrook covers around 200 acres beside junction 6 of the M61, with a retail and leisure park, a cinema and Bolton Wanderers' stadium, and Logistics North is being built out on the former Cutacre opencast site at Over Hulton for national distribution operators. We cover shop fitting, emergency lighting, planned maintenance, fixed wire testing and three-phase work.

New housing is arriving too, most obviously at Rivington Chase, the redevelopment of the former Horwich Loco Works consented for around 1,700 homes. On estates like that we install EV charge points, smart controls and additional sockets.
