Chorley's skyline was still full of mill chimneys in the 1970s. Most have gone, but the terraced streets built for the people who worked in them are still lived in, and wiring of that age is usually on its second or third life. That vintage throws up rewireable fuseboards, bathrooms with neither supplementary bonding nor the RCD protection that would allow it to be omitted, and sockets spurred off circuits never designed for them. We carry out EICRs, consumer unit upgrades, full and partial rewires, and the earthing and bonding work older houses usually need first.

Newer Chorley asks for different things. Astley Village was built in the 1970s under the Central Lancashire New Town scheme, and houses of that era more often want a board upgrade and new kitchen or bathroom circuits than a rewire. Estates added since the 2000s usually start with a board that has room for an EV circuit, so the work is outdoor sockets, garden lighting and charge points.

For businesses we offer shop fitting and planned maintenance around Market Walk and the Tuesday market streets, and fixed wire testing, emergency lighting and fault finding on Common Bank Industrial Estate and Ackhurst Business Park.
